Character Creation Challenge 2024 - 27: Hameed [Coriolis]

 Second Coriolis Character

So the last one burned me a bit on the game, but I still want to see what a group would look like.

Second thought is that I should look over the ship crew position skills when I allocate skill points, as the remaining positions all require a skill you have to be trained in to even use.

Third thought is that if I GM this I might prefer to keep the game on a stranded colony or something, same with Alien, to avoid all the ship stuff. Traveller has more appealing space stuff to me, but that game is made for accountants so might not apply to other people.

I'm just going to assume being a stuvare in a sci-fi setting is still a lot of lifting things around, but also THE job with the most shit hardware and software solutions known to future mankind, so having to have some tech skills to get around that is needed. Being a Humanit in the seedier parts of the station also lead to some brawls, I would assume.

Having Datadjinn as backup for doing sensors on the ship, and an extra shot at hacking/helping I think is wise too.

Opinions

 Adjusting for how the system works makes creating the character a bit more smooth. I still think the game has too much stuff for me if I want to play a YZE game, which is a bit sad. I am kinda considering making that (yet another) 2024 project - go over the game with a comb and do "this is what I would do for another edition of Coriolis". But at this rate it will have to be a 2025 or 2026 project...

I like this character more than Khulood I think. Can both some tech stuff and fighty stuff, and get through physical obstacles. Can get into Medikurgi, Vetenskap and Spaning too and generally be good at everything that isn't manipulating anybody.
